Shedding light on solar power

Residents keen to go green and install solar power can get just the enlightenment they need at an information evening organised by St Edmundsbury.
Working in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust and Suffolk Energy Action Link, the borough council will host the event at Samuel Ward Upper School in Haverhill on 15 November.
Representatives will be able to explain how renewable energy works and give information on DIY solar heating systems and advice on grants.
The evening is open to everyone and takes place between 7pm and 9pm. Anyone who takes along their September edition of the council’s Community Spirit magazine will receive two free low energy light bulbs.
To book your place, call the Energy Saving Trust Anglia Advice Centre on freephone 0800 512012.
