Your museums and heritage - your views count

What do you think of the museums and heritage services in St Edmundsbury? The question has already gone out to schools, who use them as an educational resource, and groups who regularly use them but now St Edmundsbury Borough Council wants to know what members of the public think - especially those who may not use them very often, if at all.

St Edmundsbury has begun an in-depth review of its museums and heritage services, including Moyse's Hall Museum, Manor House Museum, the museum store (where objects not currently on display are kept), West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and its museum and the partnership arrangement with the Haverhill Local History Centre. The results of the review will be considered by the Policy Development Committee in October and Cabinet in November. The idea is to increase accessibility - encouraging more people to use the services - and to get the best value for Council Tax payers by reducing overall costs.

You can give yourviews by using a questionnaire, available from the Borough Council offices in Lower Downs Slade. A page on the website is also available where you can have your say on line. Go to www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk and click on the survey under Now Have Your Say. The deadline for your views is 26 August.
