Since Suffolk County Council took over responsibility for roads in Haverhill at the end of last year a lot of work has been going on. Two major pieces of work that you should notice over the coming months are:
Traffic calming measures on Chivers Road area.
There will be traffic islands, chicanes and new road alignments to slow the traffic along Chivers Road.
Pavement Improvements
After a large scale inspection of paths in Haverhill the County Council are committed to a two year plan to bring our paths up to a higher standard. The work has already started a will take place in many areas around town. The worst paths will be brought up to standard over the two years.
